Baltimore Housing

Project Description: This individual project explored the comparison of two common urban housing types, rowhomes and low-rise apartment homes from the lens of density and diversity.

Key Requirements: Zoning restrictions, building code, ADA requirements, square footage limitations, required program spaces, specified user type

Design Vision & Process: My design vision focused on the two key elements that are limited in urban housing: access to natural light and dedicated outdoor space. I also wanted to integrate an open layout/ floor plan, and delineation between public/private space.
